The Ottawa Open Data Iron Chef

Come to MakerSpace North on the evening May 18, 2017 and watch as teams compete in Ottawa's first Open Data Iron Chef!

The Open Data Iron Chef is a hybrid between The Iron Chef and Dragon's DenTV shows.

However, instead of using a kitchen ingredient that acts as "inspiration" (such as truffles or shitake mushrooms) teams from the Information & Communications Technology Council will use Open Data sets to create a platform/tool and then pitch their idea to "Dragons" from government and the social innovation communities.

We invite engaged citizens to come and witness a true exercise in creativity around the potential of Open Data and how it can stimulate innovation.

The extravaganza will also feature an Open Data Family Feud and take place at the home where the entrepreneurial spirit resides: MakerSpace North!
